We are however committed to hold the congress once it is safe to do so, and have already started planning for this. Our aim is to reuse as much as possible of the planned scientific program, excursions and other activities. The postponement raises a number of questions, the most essential are: Registrations and refunds: Please note that registrations for the congress will remain in place for the new congress dates. This also includes registration to any of the excursions and hotel bookings made at the Radisson Blu Royal through the registration form. For those who have booked rooms at other hotels through our registration site, you will in due course be refunded for these. Registered persons will shortly receive a new e-mail with updated registration details. Should the new dates conflict with already planned arrangements, registered persons will be entitled to a full refund for cancellations received by 1. October 2020. Travel and accommodation: The IP2020 does not have the possibility to reimburse any travel or accommodation expenses that have been booked outside of the congress registration form. We recommend contacting your insurance provider, travel and accommodation provider, or your institution for refunds. Submissions: Due to the postponement we encourage all submitters to stand by their submission. We will give the authors the opportunity (if needed) to add new findings. Submitters will be contacted individually by the Scientific Committee about this. Program: All key-note speakers will be contacted individually by their contact person from IP2020. The Scientific Board will contact individually all authors of accepted orals and posters abstracts, and students about their contributions to the scientific program. What if the Corona outbreak is still a problem in 2021? The Organizing Committee will continue to monitor the ongoing situation closely. Updates and other announcements will be made on the congress website and directly to registered delegates, authors and sponsors. Our hearts go out to our many friends in the affected regions. We encourage everyone to stay safe, and we look forward to reuniting when this is behind us.
